going out for the cause: universal studio singapore

Today is Panasonic Family Day 2015, held at Universal Studio Singapore.

Nothing special actually, it's only this time we decided to ask one of Althaf's best buddy to join
Hmm...just want to give a little bite of happiness to him. His parent is divorced, not sure when it was.
I just think, it should be very very seldom for him then to go out as a complete family. And this is the time....:)

So, it started from ask here and there who's from my colleague will not go and willing to give away the ticket. And apparently it's not only me who searching for give away ticket hehehee..
To make it fair, we were summarizing who need more ticket, who want give away the ticket.
Finally, it come up with calculation that we need to buy one ticket only and the fare is shared among us. I intentionally informed the kids on Friday only, as a surprise for them.

The H day is coming.
From the time we met at Harbour Front MRT, I can see Althaf's best buddy (just mentioned him as D) was very excited. They chatted along the way, and I overheard he mentioned to Althaf that it was the first time he goes to USS.
And during the time we spent today in USS, I more and more can see how happy he was...After one attraction finished, he was the first mentioned which part was the best part. And if me and husband didn't join in, he was the first to run toward us and said it was best!

I don't know how to describe my feeling...it's kind of feeling happy cause seeing other's happy :)
We also shared with the kids, how luckier they are compared to D...

actually...it's nothing what we have given to him, compared to what we have gotten in return today...the feeling of happy cause seeing him happy, the lesson for me; and hopefully for husband and kids too; to be more gratefull of what we have today

thanks D!

Children

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;

For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

---Khalil Gibran---

May The archer is pleased with this bow, He guides and holds us thight 'till end of time
May The archer shoot the arrows with his joy and guide them to the right path
Aamiin...
